The first arduino challenge was to make a circuit when you press a button a buzzer buzz's. It was pretty hard the first time, but we got it with some help.

This day my class learned about the x-51 project. It sounds awesome because we have to create a budget related to a rover that we also have to create that will be simulated in mars. Cant wait!
Today I stumbled upon a website talking about how AI might take over the world. It was an interesting read, as I would have to agree with this source.
-Link- Today my class worked on smart goals that I made for myself:
Academy Goal: I am Zachary Kernick. I want to get above 90% for my full mark in all my core classes in school. I am interested in this goal because I always want to be and do the best of things. I will achieve my goal by learning the right material and going the extra mile to get the right results. This goal will go from my grade 10 year. The goal is a realistic goal that I know I can reach within my grade 10 year. This goal will help me reach my post-secondary achievement that I choose to go with. I can complete this by completing my work on time and to the best of my knowledge. Personal Goal: I would like to get into the badminton singles team in W.H. Croxford High School. I am doing this since I have first been introduced into badminton. I really enjoyed it, as it is now my favorite sport. I am required to be of high skill level to get into singles. My goal will be completed when I get into the team (or if I get into the team.) and the process of how I do it. I will get this goal done by Practicing badminton and learning more skills that have to do with the sport. This goal isnèt for educational use, but more so of an inspiring goal for myself. I have started practicing since school year and the try outs are not until april (somewhere near that month).
In the morning of school I had an awesome opportunity to participate in learning internet safety with an IT pro named Paul Davis. I learned many things about internet safety information and techniques.
It was very interesting to hear how he became an IT pro, and how to protect myself from internet problems that could negatively impact my life. Thanks again to Paul Davis! Today at the Educational Center in Airdrie, Alberta me and my peers participated in an educational event. Veronica Funk was the main speaker at the event. She taught many of us how to describe and market ourselves in a professional way. I did this by learning to taking a perfect self portrait of myself and I've also become more confident in team building with my peers through fun activities that made us more comfortable with each other. Close to the end of the event, I set goals for myself that I will implement in my daily life.
Thanks again to Veronica Funk, and everyone else for this wonderful experience and learning curve. |
