2608 Coopers Circle SW, Airdrie, Alberta March 22, 2018 Mr. John Remus Everitt W.H. Croxford High School 2654 Chinook Winds Drive Southwest Airdrie, AB T4B 0J4 Dear Mr. Everitt: While reviewing and thinking about staying in Mechatronics, I have come to a decision to once again be apart of the wonderful community and program we have all created. Here are my responses to the questions: Why are you applying to the 20-level academy? I applied for the 20-level Mechatronics academy because I’ve have been extremely interested in engineering and I want to further my understanding of how to be an engineer. I’ve always wanted to Improve my decision making, further develop my confidence, coding, designing, and building skills, creativity and entrepreneurial social behaviors, and self esteem to better develop my life skills in the real world. What is your vision of your independence, and subject passion in the ten-level academy? The big perk of Mechatronics in my opinion is the amount of independence we can have in the academy. In the future I think Independence will help boost my confidence, make me less reliant on others, a better decision maker, my personal improvement and creativity, and self value and self esteem in the future when I apply such skills in the real world. What Leadership role will you play in your academy next year? I think being a leader even if it’s minor is very important. I will try my best to help my classmates whenever they don’t understand topics, coding, building etc. Help to organize or assist in specific tasks that my fellow classmates or group members need help with, listen, encourage, and ask questions to seek to understand other people to receive valuable insight. How have you grown as an engineer? I think I have grown as an engineer by further developing my coding skills, organizing and leadership skills, learning the process of designing, and building skills, thinking outside the box, and public relations and critical life/social skills. Sincerely, Zachary Joel Kernick Zachary Joel Kernick 2608 Coopers Circle SW, Airdrie, Alberta March 22, 2018 Mr. John Remus Everitt W.H.
